It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Whoo, 2000 pageviews now

I am happy!!!

My internet is finally back, after 2 weeks of it being out in my dorm. They were putting wireless in, which really does me no good since i have no wireless thing in my ancient PC, but whatever. It's incredibly slow, like it doesn't even follow the letters when i type, but whatever. I need more memory anyways; that's part of the problem.

I finally ordered my new camera!!!! I got birthday monies from the folks and my granny, since i really can't fork over that much money on my own, and I bought the Canon S5 IS. This is pretty exciting for me, since I've been looking up camera crapz since this past summer, doin' research to find exactly what I wanted. Took quite awhile, but hopefully now when the new camera comes in I can do some pretty cool stuff... a couple of you mihgt be models

In other news... any of you want to take a road trip?! I got a part time job just for this month working at Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream. Funnest job ever. I work in the vampire haunted house, and I jump out of a trap door and scare the crap outta people. It's a freakin' blast, most fun job ever!!!! Only I work till 2 AM, which gets pretty exhausting. Oh well, it's only this month
