The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Halloween!!!!

Awwww, my first halloween on dA!!!! I have a picture I want to put up, but it depends if I can edit it in time to put it up today...
So, I have two things that I have to be... I get to alternate costumes today!!! First, I have to be Trinity from The Matrix, because I've been her for five years in a row now. Can't break tradition!!! Second, I want to be my old character from work at Howl-0-Scream this year, Vishnu the Vampire Ninja (note my awesome icon, which :iconlastofthedrakenites: made for me...) :lol: so, today will be interesting. What is everyone else planning on dressing up as?

On a short side note.... MY NEW CAMERA CAME IN!!!! No more crappy 4-megapixel craptastic camera to have to shoot with!!! I finally have a semi-professional one, the Canon S5 IS, and I can't wait to start having fun with it. Oh my goshhhhh... the pictures are so clear... and the shutter speed is so fast, I'll actually be able to take a picture of Ooddles before that cat runs away!!!!!!!!! :rofl:

Ooooh, yay for new cameras! I wish I had one. :boogie: Your Halloween sounds like it was fun. I was too tired to even dress up, but I did slap a Lilian Munster wig on for a few hours.

nope, just a combination of work clothes, regular clothes, and my lab manual. Finishing touch was the piece of shit car I've been borrowing all week.

Though my lab manual did get water spilled on it when I was in tampa...
